About Steven
I am a first-generation Chinese immigrant who has attended some of the top institutions in the world, such as Johns Hopkins University as an undergraduate and the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business as an MBA student. Having completed both programs and having a deep understanding of the admissions process from start to finish, I am well-equipped to help aspiring students attend these institutions and experience the same degree of satisfaction and sense of accomplishment as I have. After school, I have worked at large organizations such as IBM, Merck, Ascension, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Throughout my journey I have learned lots of insights that I can share with the next generation of high potential individuals.
Why do I coach?
I coach because it allows me to give back the opportunities provided to me. I want to pass on my critical thinking skills, persistence, and never-say-never attitude, which have gotten me to this point. I was also coached by my friends, grades above me, and teachers who have taught me almost everything I know to this day. I overcame language barriers, developmental barriers, and mental hurdles to get to this point and want to help others do the same.
