About Shreyas
I'm currently a medical student at Harvard, but my path to medicine has been anything but conventional. My journey began with a deep interest in public policy, especially around improving systems of care for marginalized communities. It was through my work in autism advocacy and research that I became drawn to medicine and long-term care—realizing that systemic change is most powerful when paired with an understanding of individual health needs. That passion eventually led me to roles in both state and federal government, where I worked on healthcare and disability policy. Because my route into medicine didn’t follow the typical script, I understand the challenges—and opportunities—that come with taking an unconventional path. Whether you're applying straight out of college or coming to medicine from a non-traditional background, I’m here to support you with insight, empathy, and practical guidance.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know how powerful it is to have someone in your corner, especially when the path ahead feels unclear or overwhelming. I’ve taken an unconventional route into medicine, and at many points along the way, I questioned whether I belonged or if I was "doing it right." What made the difference for me was the mentors and peers who offered honest guidance, encouragement, and perspective when I needed it most. Now, I want to be that person for others. Whether you're navigating self-doubt, mapping out your next steps, or just trying to figure out how to tell your story, I believe coaching can be a game-changer. Everyone’s journey looks different, and I’m here to help you make sense of yours—with clarity, compassion, and strategy.
Work Experience
Advisory Board Member
Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center
May 2018 - Present
Alongside partners at SARRC, I initiated a program to facilitate the inclusion of autistic students in museum-based STEM activities. I first brought together two nonprofits (SARRC and AZ SciTech) to form initial partnership for this project. Later, I drafted and helped secure a $1 million National Science Foundation grant to fund initiative. I am now serving on the project’s advisory committee to design the informal STEM learning experiences alongside parent and autistic self-advocates.
