About Raphael

My name is Raphael Imojara. I lives in West Africa Nigeria precisely where I was born and brought up by my parents. I'm married with two kids. In my early adulthood, I know nothing about mentorship due to my country academic culture. When i became a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, i began to learn about mentorship. Later, I was introduced into church education system popularly known as BYU where i was assigned a mentor who mentored me throughout my BYU pathway connect and guided me when I got admission into BYU degree. As a student of Ensign College most times when i find it difficult for my academic work i contact my mentor. I came to understand how important mentorship is. I enjoyed learning because it helped me to discover new things and ideas.

Why do I coach?

I am so passionate about mentorship In 2023, one U.S.A based organisation popular known as SKEP FOUNDATION, invited me to join the organisation. I accepted and joined the organisation then i was introduced into a program called Launching Leaders course (LLC), designed to promote mentorship. After the program, I was assigned certain number of students where i mentored for several years through their academic pursue. While mentoring these students, i was able to learned from them about their different communication styles as people from different locations which help me to improve in my own communication skills. It helped me to improve in my interpersonal skills. Although i faces some difficulty with students. For example some students were not too good in English language but i took through some resources which helped them and became better in their English speaking.
