I've worked in investing across two PE firms: TSG Consumer Partners & Audax Private Equity. Most recently at TSG, I was consistently rated in the top bucket of Associates and involved directly in hiring / recruitment, including creating and grading our firm's financial modeling test and running our summer internship program. I have significant experience recruiting for private equity - both directly out of college and ~3 years after graduating - and received offers to multiple firms. I'd look forward to coaching prospective PE applicants with (1) recruitment strategy and (2) all aspects of the interview process including behavioral questions, case studies, paper LBOs, and model tests.

About Randy
I’m currently an MBA student at Stanford Graduate School of Business with prior experience at TSG Consumer Partners, Bain & Company, and Audax Private Equity, where I worked on investment due diligence, growth strategy, and operations primarily across consumer, retail, and technology businesses. I’ve gone through recruiting processes for MBB consulting, private equity, and top MBA programs firsthand, and understand how to craft a compelling narrative while navigating highly competitive interview processes. I especially enjoy helping candidates position their experiences strategically, refine their story, and prepare for behavioral, case, and technical interviews with confidence. My coaching style is honest and highly personalized, and I look forward to driving great outcomes whether you're applying to private equity, consulting, or MBA programs.
Why do I coach?
I've been in your shoes and have navigated difficult consulting, private equity, and MBA interview processes. I benefited enormously from mentors and coaches who helped me sharpen my story and goals and build confidence. I aspire to return the favor to future applicants and genuinely enjoy the strategy side of recruiting, like figuring out how to position someone uniquely, build their interview skills, and help them stand out in competitive applicant pools. When I worked at Bain, there was nothing more rewarding than working with applicants from incredibly different backgrounds and coaching them from applicants to hires.
