With nearly a decade of experience as the Director of Dental Student Admissions at the University of Iowa, involvement with the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), and employment with elite undergraduate & graduate programs, I have a deep & thorough understanding of the dental school admissions process. Let me share it with you! I orchestrated the selection process for over 1,000 applicants annually via the Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS), oversaw the Admissions Committee, curated interview questions, & worked to recruit/retain top applicants. -Orchestrated Admissions Committee selection process, rubric creation, curated interview questions, oversaw voting, & outcome assessment. -Culled a 1,000-person applicant pool whittling down to 250+ competitive & diverse candidates to interview & selected 80. -Developed & led all aspects of interview experience for 250+ candidates per year including branding, presentations, assessments, interactive panels, background requirements, & follow-up analysis. -Coordinated annual interviewer training for 575+ casting clear objectives, query creation, & branding/ambiance. -Created a high-touch project management experience with daily progress tracking, personalized resources, & encouragement/support to date with a 100% satisfaction ranking out of 1,000+ responses.
