About leo
I was born in Venezuela and raised in England. After completing my mechanical engineering degree and working in heavy industry, I moved on and did my MBA at NYU. I was chapter leader of Latin America for Stern’s School of Business admissions, while working in management consulting, working with telecom, finance, chemical and media companies. After leading the successful rollout of an online banking platform during the dotcom era, I decided to make a change. I moved to Copenhagen to devote my life to those that needed me the most: my three young, beautiful kids. This is where my mentoring career truly began. In Denmark, we started a retail business as a family, a venture that brought us all closer together. Once grown up, all my children moved to California to pursue their studies. And as the old country song goes, “honey, if you leave me, can I come too?” My wife and I packed up again, and are now enjoying our new lives in the Bay Area. Here, I want to continue pursuing my true passion: mentoring dedicated individuals that want to make a difference in the world.
Why do I coach?
Looking back and seeing how my previous mentees are on their way to making a dent in the universe, I find great gratification in knowing that I was able to positively affect their lives and inspire them, at a pivotal time. It brings me great purpose to know that, in that moment, my coaching helped make their lives better. I enjoy the camaraderie that comes from listening to someone who is driven and hungry, engaging in thoughtful, at times even philosophical, conversations, and pulling them in the right direction in a way that respects their authentic self.
