Served in a variety of roles during my active duty time, including: -Company Commander of line company at 3d Combat Engineer Battalion. Responsible for Direct Support to infantry battalions and staff engineer officer to Regimental Commander. Deployed in support of OEF in this role. -Embedded Training Team Leader- Led 15-man team embedded with a Combat Support Battalion of the Afghan National Army. Battalion consisted of an Engineer Company, EOD Team, Artillery Company, and Reconnaissance Company. I served not only as team leader, but also as advisor to the Battalion Commander, a LtCol in the Afghan National Army. Mission included advising, training, and participating in joint missions, often while operating in very small groups. -Also served as a Combat Engineer Platoon Commander and Military Transition Team member for an Iraqi Army infantry battalion.
