Landing a consulting offer - especially at MBB - takes preparation across more dimensions than most candidates realize. The case gets the most attention, but getting the interview in the first place, nailing the fit conversation, and making a strong impression throughout the process all matter just as much. I'm a BCG alum who ran case interviews and mock sessions at BCG, and I've coached candidates all the way from resume review to case prep through the final round. This package covers the full cycle: getting in the door, showing up strong in every part of the interview, and handling everything that comes up along the way. 1. Application Materials -Consulting resume: Full revision for a consulting recruiter audience, focused on quantified impact, consulting-relevant framing, and a bullet structure that makes your strongest experiences pop. -Cover letters (where appropriate): Firm-specific letters that articulate your genuine motivation and demonstrate you understand what makes each firm different. 2. Networking Strategy -Firm targeting: A focused list of target firms based on your background, interests, and realistic competitiveness with a clear sequencing strategy. -Outreach and coffee chat prep: How to get on the radar of the right people, what to say, and how to make conversations genuinely useful rather than awkward. -Networking event prep: How to confidently handle a "circle of death" and make yourself memorable at recruiting events. -Diversity and early-access programs (dependent on timing of coaching): Guidance on firm-specific fellowship, diversity, and early application programs that can give you a head start in the process. 3. Fit & Behavioral Interview Prep -Story Bank development: We'll build out 6–8 strong behavioral stories covering leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and impact, structured for clarity and confidence. -Firm-specific fit prep: Deep dive on what each target firm is looking for in fit conversations, including firm culture and the questions most likely to come up. -Mock behavioral interviews: Live practice with debrief and run at real interview pace, with specific feedback on what to sharpen. 4. Case Interview Prep -Foundations and frameworks: Structured instruction on case types, problem-solving approaches, and how to build an adaptable framework rather than template-matching. -Case math and exhibits: Dedicated focus on mental math fluency and exhibit/data interpretation, which are the areas where candidates most often lose ground in live cases. -Mock cases with full feedback: Practice cases across the full range of case types (profitability, market sizing, growth strategy, M&A, and more), followed by detailed debriefs. 5. Ad Hoc Support -Firm deep dives: Research and preparation for company-specific questions, office culture, and current priorities at your target firms. -Anything else you need: This is a full-cycle package — if something comes up that I haven't listed, we'll tackle it.
