Katharine’s Executive Coaching Qualifications

Experience level: Manager

Katharine has helped clients get into these companies:

My MBA at Stanford GSB was deeply focused on leadership and coaching. I immersed myself in courses like Interpersonal Dynamics (“Touchy Feely”), Leadership Laboratory, and Managing Growing Enterprises, each designed to build the skills leaders need to inspire, influence, and navigate complex organizational challenges. These experiences, combined with my professional background in finance and investing, shaped me into both a leader and a coach. Today, I work with executives and high-potential professionals to strengthen self-awareness, build resilience, and navigate the human side of leadership. Whether it’s managing through conflict, stepping into bigger roles, or leading teams with empathy and clarity, I bring a blend of structured tools, candid feedback, and personal experience to my coaching. My goal is to help you grow not just as a professional, but as a leader others want to follow.

About Katharine

I’m Katharine, and I coach students and young professionals navigating competitive career paths—from investment banking and private equity to consulting, venture capital, and other high-performance roles. Much of my work begins well before interviews. I help students think through which career paths may fit them best, how to position their experiences, and how to build a clear strategy for recruiting. I regularly work with college students exploring their first career, candidates considering a career switch, and professionals preparing for highly structured recruiting processes. My coaching focuses on several key areas: career strategy, resume and personal branding, behavioral interview preparation, and technical interview preparation. I help clients clarify their story, translate their experiences into compelling narratives, and present themselves with confidence. While many of my clients are pursuing careers in finance, my work extends well beyond technical preparation. I frequently support students who want to improve how they communicate their experiences, strengthen their resumes, or develop a clearer professional narrative. I also have extensive experience working with students with learning differences, helping them build structures and strategies that allow them to perform at their best in high-pressure recruiting environments. I began my career at Goldman Sachs in investment banking before moving into private equity at Brentwood Associates in Los Angeles, where I focused on consumer sectors including beauty and wellness. I later returned to Goldman Sachs as one of the first hires on the Sustainable Investing Group, helping build the Inclusive Growth Fund and investing in healthcare businesses improving access and affordability. Most recently, I completed my MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I deepened my expertise in private markets and taught corporate financial modeling. Along the way, I’ve coached students and early-career professionals on career positioning, resume development, behavioral interviews, and technical finance interviews, including accounting, valuation, LBO modeling, and case studies. My approach is highly personalized. Recruiting can be intimidating—especially when expectations are high and feedback is limited. Having gone through these processes myself and worked with many candidates navigating them, I focus on helping clients build clarity, confidence, and a strategy that fits their long-term goals. Whether you are exploring potential career paths, preparing for interviews, refining your resume, or strengthening your technical skills, my goal is to help you present the strongest version of yourself.

Why do I coach?

I love coaching. In college, I was constantly helping friends with resumes, interviews, and big career decisions. Eventually, I approached the Career Center on campus and asked if I could turn it into a paid role because I was overwhelmed by the number of peers asking me for help. I went on to become a peer career advisor at the Brown Career Center. Throughout my own career, I’ve benefited enormously from mentors and peers who took the time to coach and support me, and I see my work now as a way of paying that forward. Coaching is something I do alongside my full-time work because I genuinely enjoy it and find it incredibly rewarding to help others.
