Description

Your resume is your first interview. In consulting recruiting, a few lines on a page can determine whether you receive an interview invitation or a rejection. This package is designed to help you build a resume that captures attention, communicates impact, and reflects the qualities top consulting firms are looking for. Led by a former BCG Partner with firsthand experience evaluating candidates, this program goes beyond formatting and wordsmithing. You'll learn how recruiters and interviewers assess resumes, what separates top candidates from the rest, and how to position your achievements in a way that resonates with firms like McKinsey, BCG, Bain, and other leading consultancies. Through personalized coaching, you'll transform your experiences into a compelling consulting narrative that highlights leadership, analytical rigor, problem-solving ability, and measurable impact. What we'll work on Resume Strategy & Positioning: * Learn how consulting firms evaluate resumes and what recruiters look for in top candidates. * Identify the experiences, achievements, and leadership examples that deserve the most attention. Impact-Driven Resume Editing: * Refine every bullet point to emphasize results, ownership, analytical thinking, and business impact. * Strengthen your resume using the language, structure, and storytelling techniques that resonate with consulting recruiters. Personal Brand Development: * Craft a compelling narrative that connects your background, experiences, and career aspirations to consulting. * Position non-traditional or diverse experiences as strengths rather than obstacles. Application Strategy Insights: * Gain practical advice on how your resume fits into the broader recruiting process, including networking, referrals, interviews, and application timing. By the end of this program, you'll have more than a refined resume—you'll have a strategic application asset built to maximize your chances of securing interviews and progressing through the consulting recruiting process.

Former BCG Partner | Recruiting & Interview Expert (100+) | Wharton MBA

I'm Julie, a former Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where I spent more than a decade advising senior executives and leading teams across a broad range of strategic and operational challenges. During my tenure, I progressed from Associate to Partner, giving me firsthand insight into every stage of the consulting career path—from securing an offer to succeeding and advancing within the firm. In addition to my client work, I was deeply involved in BCG's recruiting and talent development efforts. For six years, I served as an interviewer and member of the recruiting committee, evaluating hundreds of candidates across undergraduate, MBA, and experienced-hire recruiting. I was directly involved in assessing candidates and making hiring decisions, giving me a clear perspective on what distinguishes those who receive offers from those who do not. I hold an MBA from The Wharton School, where I was recognized as a Palmer Scholar (top 5% of the graduating class), and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University. Since leaving BCG, I have continued to mentor and coach candidates pursuing careers in consulting. I help candidates strengthen their resumes and applications, develop compelling personal narratives, refine their networking approach, and excel in both fit and case interviews. My coaching combines practical recruiting insights with candid, actionable feedback tailored to each individual's goals and experience level. I work with undergraduate students, MBA candidates, experienced professionals, and career switchers pursuing opportunities at MBB firms, Tier 2 consultancies, boutique firms, and internal strategy teams. Whether you are preparing for your first consulting interview or targeting a senior experienced-hire role, I can help you navigate the process with the same rigor and perspective used by the world's leading consulting firms. I look forward to working with you.
