Hi! I'm Jonathan. I've spent my career on both sides of the venture table — first running THRIVE, an award-winning early-stage accelerator focused on agtech, where I worked hands-on with founders from idea to fundable company. That experience led me into venture investing at Scrum Ventures, where I invested across food, deep tech, healthcare, AI, and other sectors, and progressed from Associate to Principal in just two years. Two of my portfolio bets illustrate what that work can produce: one of my companies exited for nine figures to a large publicly traded SaaS business, and another has since become a unicorn generating billions in annual revenue. Today, as a Venture Partner at Scrum, I continue supporting portfolio companies on fundraising strategy — giving me a continuous, current view into how deals get sourced, evaluated, and won from both the investor and founder side. If you're trying to break into VC or move up once you're in, I can help with all of it — how to land the role, how to go from analyst or associate to principal and beyond, and what the actual day-to-day looks like at each stage.
