Hi, I’m Jimmy—born and raised in Asia, educated abroad in Canada (McGill) and Europe (HEC Paris), and professionally shaped in both Canada and Australia. My global journey has given me a deep appreciation for different cultures, ways of thinking, and career philosophies—so whether you come from finance, tech, healthcare, or something entirely different, I understand where you're coming from. My career path has had its twists: from KPMG audit to M&A corporate development, all while navigating personal uncertainties and milestones—like applying to Haas MBA and interviewing at Harvard. I’ve felt the stress, the self-doubt, and the exhilaration that come with big transitions. What I love most about coaching is being the sounding board, strategist, and cheerleader for someone else on that same roller coaster. Why do I coach?

I coach because I know what it feels like to be full of potential—but unsure how to express it. Throughout my career, I’ve faced moments where I didn’t have all the right words or connections, especially coming from a non-target background and trying to break into competitive roles. What made the difference weren’t flashy credentials, but people who saw something in me, asked the right questions, and pushed me to think bigger. Their belief became my turning point. Coaching, to me, is about creating that same kind of turning point for others. I love helping people connect the dots in their story—especially those who may not fit the “traditional” mold but have so much value to offer. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone walk away from a conversation more confident, more clear, and more in control of their next move. I don’t coach just to help people get into a school or land a job. I coach to help people realize they’ve always had what it takes—and just needed the right partner to help bring it out.
