About Jack

Hi, I'm Jack! I'm a sophomore at Tulane University and an incoming 2026 Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Macquarie. Currently, I’m interning at a venture capital firm and have prior experience in investment banking and private equity. I grew up in Washington, D.C. in a family without a background in finance. When I arrived at Tulane, I set my sights on investment banking, only to realize the challenges of breaking in from a non-target school with a limited alumni network and no personal connections in the industry. Starting at a disadvantage, I had to work twice as hard to break in, and along the way, I developed creative strategies that helped me secure interviews at firms like Evercore, Morgan Stanley, Centerview, Guggenheim, and William Blair. Now that I’ve landed a role in investment banking, my goal is to share what I’ve learned with students from different backgrounds who aspire to break into high finance.

Why do I coach?

I coach to give back and help students who may feel lost or behind in the recruitment process. I know firsthand how challenging it can be, and I want to share both the mistakes I made and the strategies that ultimately helped me succeed. Having just gone through the process, I bring up-to-date insights and perspectives on the constantly evolving recruitment landscape. Throughout my journey, I was fortunate to have mentors who not only guided me but also gave me the confidence to push forward when the process felt overwhelming. Their support made a huge difference, and I want to pay that forward by helping students build the skills, mindset, and confidence they need to break into high finance.
