Awarded full merit scholarship to Harvard MPP/MPA based on the strength of my application; also applied to and received scholarships from Columbia SIPA-DP and Chicago Harris. I've coached applicants at every stage of the journey; esp. narrative strategy, essay editing, and interview prep. I have experience telling an aspirational story unrelated to my main work experiences, and finding the "service" element in corporate jobs. Previously a public narrative student coach at Harvard, I'm also an expert at coaching storytelling. Most recent client got into her top choice MBA despite a lower GMAT score! I'm very empathetic and will quickly become invested in your success :) ** Also great at last minute applications (started my GSB essays the week before, although - not recommended)

About Ivy
Hey :) I started in the joint Stanford GSB / HKS MPP (later switched to MPA) with a full scholarship to HKS (also admitted to Columbia SIPA and Chicago Harris with scholarships). Previous Bainie, stints at social impact NGOs, lived in Latin America. I've since dropped out of the GSB to attend Harvard Divinity School, live in a monastery, get my yoga teacher training (long story)… I grew up in a low-income, single-parent household and went to a low-ranked high school, so I empathize with how daunting the application process can be. I'm coaching because I want to create more equity in the deeply unequal application process. If you feel lost in the process, or from a less represented background - non-MBB/tech, FGLI, women, POC - please reach out! I'd love to be there for you.
Why do I coach?
I want to equalize the playing field! When I applied to MBAs and MPP/MPAs from Bain, I had a mountain of resources, friendly alumni, and coaches - people who acted as my sounding board and walked me through the process. It gave me the confidence that I would get in anywhere. I compare this to applying to college from a low-ranked public high school where no one had ever attended Ivy Leagues, how alone and lost and overwhelmed I felt. How was this a fair system? I also saw the world of resources, networks, and lifelong privilege that elite grad schools give you. I want to help you - non-MBB/tech, FGLI, women, POC - gain access to these spaces. I'm also really GOOD at admissions coaching! Over the years I've coached numerous applicants through the process, from application strategy to essays to interviews. I realized I find great joy and satisfaction in helping people craft their narratives. The secret of applications is in the storytelling, and I'm a master storyteller ;)
