I didn’t start in venture capital. I intentionally moved into startup CFO and operator roles to understand how companies are built and financed from the inside. That path eventually led me to launch and manage my own fund, where I’ve raised capital and invested across early and growth stages. Today, I manage an investment fund investing across public and private markets, and have sat on both sides of the table i.e., raising money as an operator and deploying it as an investor. I’ve co-invested alongside firms like a16z and Sequoia and reviewed thousands of opportunities across sectors. If you’re trying to break into VC or raise capital, I focus on positioning. Breaking in isn’t about sending more cold emails. Fundraising isn’t about having a deck. It’s about understanding how investors think and communicating your edge clearly. I don’t coach full-time. I do this alongside managing capital because I enjoy working with a small number of serious people and sharing what I’ve learned from actually being in the seat.
