Business Intelligence Engineer
Booz Allen Hamilton
October 2022 - June 2024
In this role, I serve as the customer facing data analyst & visualization specialist for the Commercial Market, delivering CRM sales, financial, or workforce insights to senior leadership, e.g. Directors, VPs, SVPs. I deliver timely ad hoc business analysis in a fast paced environment. For example, I developed a $110M+ sales Go to Market (GTM) target model & documented algorithmic process for sales and financial leadership. Additionally, I develop new dashboards and manage our business intelligence portfolio of 45+ Tableau Server and Power BI Service reports. As one of my first projects, I spearheaded the successful migration of Tableau Server by overseeing the transfer of 40+ dashboards to the new server, collaborating with stakeholders on communication strategy, keeping leadership informed of progress, troubleshooting technical challenges, conducting data audits, archiving deprecated assets, and collaborating with Data Engineers to optimize ETL process. I also develop self service ETL pipelines (Tableau Prep, Power Query, SQL), enhance business processes, develop technical requirements in Jira for the curation of datasets or automation, and author Confluence documentation. In 2024, there's a larger emphasis on data modeling. Specifically, I enrich our source data by developing a semantic model that captures our business processes and logic. Additionally, I've built data feeds that support critical resource management systems. I also manage the DataOps (CI/CD) of the ad hoc Databricks notebooks, Power BI dataflows, semantic models, and BI reports. Outside of the Commercial business, I offer Tableau/Power BI expertise to employees across firm to address questions or share capabilities. In Summer 2023, I mentored a team of 4 interns in building a report displaying AI model results of airport impacted by delayed flights for FAA clients. Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Visio and +4 skills

Data Visualization Engineer
Booz Allen Hamilton
March 2022 - December 2022
In this role, I was the staff technologist & Tableau subject matter expert for MyNavyHR transformation analytics portfolio. I coached a team of 2 consultants and created 3 actively utilized Tableau decision tools for GS-14/15 leadership and internal teams to access risks, IT scaffolding strategy, and transformation schedule. This resulted in a firm reward that recognized innovation that enhanced client delivery. I also improved processes, such as eliminating maintenance of 35%+ data assets by conducting data lineage analysis, revealing redundant data with minimal dependency. Additionally, I proof of concept technology solutions and briefed leadership on implementation timeline, costs, and constraints. These proof of concepts relate to AWS database, Power BI self service platform, Oracle APEX app, and Power Automate chat bots, Within the firm, I co-facilitated Tableau training to 40+ employees, managed the Tableau CoE SharePoint, and leveraged Kibana + AWS S3 to explore FAA SWIM data. Robotic Process Automation (RPA), R (Programming Language) and +8 skills

Data Engineering & Special Projects
Northrop Grumman
November 2021 - March 2022
** Recommended for accelerated T3/Principal level promotion from leadership recognition on contributions to department and analytics capability growth. Title has since transitioned from "Industrial Engineer" to "Data Engineer" in department to better reflect responsibilities. ** In this role, I coached 8 engineers in creating analysis and reporting for their stakeholders. This entailed technical guidance as well as finding opportunities to upskill team in Tableau, Alteryx, SharePoint, R, SQL, and other tech stacks. This resulted in authoring a Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server Best Practices guides for IE department and colleagues earning a Good Engineering Award from Northrop Grumman's Intellectual Property & Strategic Technology Agreements Committee. I also managed large data product projects, such as a R Shiny cost modeling tool and SharePoint 2010 to 2013 migration. These involved user interviews, requirement decomposition with SMEs, and customer demos. As I transitioned the AMR to sustainment, I had the opportunity to present AMR project results and lessons learned at Northrop Grumman’s Industrial Engineering Community of Practice (NG IE CoP). R (Programming Language), Architecture and +14 skills

Technical Program Manager
Northrop Grumman
June 2021 - December 2021
In this role, I was responsible in scaling the Autonomous Mobile Robot implementation / adoption across the entire plant. This project manager role involved vendor engagement, technical planning/backlog grooming, and project or risk mitigation leadership briefings. This resulted in cost avoidance savings of $2.5M+ at EOY 2025 since implementation, plant wide (6+ cells) usage of AMRs, and 350+ end users trained. Outside of the AMR role, I grew the Tableau Business Intelligence capability for the Industrial Engineering Department. I administered our Tableau server and authored training documentation. R (Programming Language), Architecture and +15 skills

Industrial Engineer
Northrop Grumman

In this role, I served as an internal consultant to manufacturing business, engineering, and operations stakeholders. I also managed technology projects. My responsibilities as the internal consultant involved supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering support. For example, I trained 30+ technicians on 5S and collaborate with them drive a lean culture within the cell. I also modeled capacity to forecast risks and generate business cases for capital or future contracts. Weekly, I ran metics w/ R, Excel, Access, and SQL for leadership, program managers, or engineers. In managing technology projects, I led the process engineering efforts for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) within a section of the plant. This resulted in improved AMR performance and 8+ material handlers trained on new roles and responsibilities. I also managed our SharePoint for routing requests, IE tool repository, and cell sites. Within SharePoint, I created workflows to automate and drive 99% cycle time decrease of archiving process of completed requests (15 hours to 10 min). Within our IE department, I mentored 5 early career engineers and summer interns. I also worked with department leadership to catalog training gaps, such as a Critical Skills Matrix framework utilized plant wide. R (Programming Language), Visio and +9 skills

Consultant, Strategy Analytics
Herren
June 2020 - April 2021
In this role, I served as a strategic advisor to the Navy Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) in analytics and IPT facilitation. My favorite project involved architecting data lake and supply chain reporting capabilities in Power BI for IWS's first generation consolidated GFE data. My deliverables allowed PEO leadership and hardware owners to quickly assess health of platforms within IWS portfolio and discuss risk mitigation plans. This resulted with a gold medal at the IWS Digital Olympics competition and significant leadership recognition. In general, I also co-led and facilitated 3 Integrated Product Teams (IPT), specifically the Informedb Data Lake Development, Configuration Management, and Platform Reviews. Within the firm, I contributed to proposal writing and capability research, such as proposal integer modeling, machine learning applications, Office 365 collaboration, and additive manufacturing use cases.
