Moving from a traditional Chinese education to a global perspective pushed me, right after college, into education itself. While working with every age group, I realized the people who need support most are those stuck early or mid-career. An MBA became the lever I could offer—especially in China, where applicants need structured, culturally-smart guidance to crack Western admissions thinking. So I left a high-paying K-12 role, joined a start-up dedicated solely to MBA coaching as a founding core member, and spent the next two years building a method that is unmistakably mine. Clients from China, Japan, Singapore and the U.S. became my proving ground; five consecutive years we’ve placed members at both HBS and GSB. When the essays are done, we stay connected, turning each cohort into mentors for the next. Today I run my own boutique firm—intentionally small, relentlessly personal—so more applicants can turn an MBA into the career and life they’re hungry for.
