About Cornela
I am a woman of a certain-age, living life, and coaching in the process. After taking the wrong avenues in life (and some right ones), I am now empowered to offer guidance to others who are in this "weird" space of life. My story is one I hear often; young wife/mother, emotionally-intelligent, introverted, college-graduate divorcee, single-parent of adult children, middle-aged, and now grandmother of two that knows the desire to press "reset" on everything! My experience as a Life Coach has entered the conversations as a parent, wife, grandparent (who raise their grandchildren), and introvert in all work positions and all walks of life. What gives me the ability to communicate with my clients is to be mindful, have grace with humility, and most importantly, a sense of humor!
Why do I coach?
At a young age, I have been told that I am an empathetic listener who instinctively gives you the space to feel heard and grow. As an introvert, I engage with conversation and clarify to make sure I have a clearer picture. One of my personal challenges is the ability to share my thoughts or trust someone to help me work things out. Over time, life and the human-experience naturally allowed me to help a person feel "seen and heard" and uncover a path to the next step. During a session with my Mentor, we were discussing my paths taken and where they led. The conversation was to help me outline my next steps toward a career that was fulfilling and to provide for my family. Somehow, the conversation turned towards her situations. By the end of "my" session, I helped "her" plan her next steps. That's when I was told that being a Life Coach should be my journey! Having a professional give me the confidence to overcome my personal challenges was life-changing. She helped me realize that I could be the person in someone's life to help quiet the noise and focus on the goal, even when they don't know where to begin.
