For tech leaders leading AI transformation — not led by it
I spent a decade leading engineering at LinkedIn and Instacart. At Instacart, as an Engineering Director, I drove AI adoption across the most core shopping organization — including building the metrics and systems that allow us to monitor not only the adoption of AI but the org design, planning process to become AI-native. I've been in the rooms where "AI transformation" stops being a slide and becomes the actual work — org redesigns, role redefinitions, and the uncomfortable question of what leadership looks like when your team's output is increasingly machine-generated. I'm now leading growth in an AI-native startup — transforming the whole operation end-to-end (marketing, sales, engineering) and transforming myself alongside it. The frameworks I coach from aren't theoretical; I'm designing the same shifts my clients are navigating: what work AI agents do, what stays human, what compounds as the stack evolves, and how a leader's role rewrites itself through all of it. I also publish regularly on how tech leaders can navigate this transition — including the AI-Native Leader series on my Substack https://cc12170503.substack.com/s/ai-native-leader. My coaching focuses on the part of AI strategy most conversations skip: the identity work, the org-design work, and the specific question of what a tech leader's role actually becomes when the old playbook stops applying and the new one hasn't been written yet.
