About Chencheng
I have over a decade of leadership experience in high-growth technology companies, helping teams navigate change, scale quickly, and deliver meaningful impact. My career has combined engineering leadership, organizational design, and business strategy. I’ve built high-performance teams, led large cross-functional initiatives, and guided organizations through multiple stages of growth and transformation many times. Most recently, as an Engineering Director at Instacart, I led 50+ engineers across growth and shopping, helping drive double-digit growth in challenging market conditions. Before that, at LinkedIn, I helped build and scale a B2B product from the ground up into a billion-dollar business. Along the way, I was promoted five times in ten years—while raising two children and navigating the added complexity of being a woman and minority leader in a male-dominated industry. I learned firsthand how to balance ambition with wellbeing, lead through uncertainty, and grow without burning out. Those experiences shape how I coach today. I help ambitious professionals navigate uncertainty, define success on their own terms, and build fulfilling careers and lives— not by pushing harder, but by thinking more clearly, trusting themselves, and designing a life that truly works.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know how challenging success can feel from the inside. On paper, my career looked like steady progress—five promotions in ten years, leadership roles in high-growth tech companies, and building high-performance teams. But I also faced self-doubt, burnout, and the constant pressure to prove myself. I know what it’s like to be the only woman in the room. To question your decisions. To balance leadership with family and personal wellbeing. Coaching helped me slow down, think clearly, and trust my own voice instead of chasing external validation. I learned that real growth doesn’t come from pushing harder—it comes from understanding yourself better. Now, in an era of rapid AI-driven change, more people are facing crossroads—wondering where they fit, what’s next, and how to move forward with confidence. I’ve been there, and I want to help. I coach to help leaders and high-achievers find clarity in uncertainty, confidence in transition, and balance in demanding lives—so they can grow without burning out.
