About Brenden
I'm currently a second-year Investment Banking Analyst at J.P. Morgan, where I've worked on a range of high-profile M&A transactions across multiple industries. My experience gives me a deep, firsthand understanding of what top-tier banks look for in candidates—both on paper and in the interview room. Before joining J.P. Morgan, I studied at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, where I served as a Peer Career Advisor. In that role, I coached 200+ students on resume building, networking strategy, technical prep, and behavioral interviews—many of whom landed competitive internships and full-time roles at firms like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and, of course, J.P. Morgan. My approach is structured, honest, and personalized. I’ll help you break down complex finance concepts, build a compelling story, and deliver with confidence—because I’ve been on both sides of the table. Whether you’re applying for summer analyst roles or full-time offers, I’m here to help you stand out in an incredibly competitive process.
Why do I coach?
Breaking into investment banking is incredibly competitive — and it’s not always clear how to navigate the process. When I was recruiting, I quickly realized that having the right information, preparation, and strategy wasn’t enough on its own. What truly made the difference for me were the mentors who guided me through it — people who took the time to answer questions, share their experiences, and provide honest feedback. With their support, I was fortunate to land a junior summer internship with J.P. Morgan in their Mergers & Acquisitions group, which led to a full-time return offer. I’m now a second-year analyst at the firm, and I continue to reflect on how instrumental those mentors were in helping me get here. That’s why I mentor — because having someone in your corner can be the edge that makes all the difference. I believe everyone should have access to the kind of support that helped me succeed, especially in a field as competitive and relationship-driven as investment banking.
