Description
A McKinsey final round is three back-to-back interviews with Associate Partners and Partners, each about an hour, each containing a case and a PEI. This is that day, run properly. Three cases. Three PEIs. Three hours back-to-back at real interview length — then 30 minutes of feedback. Here's why the format matters. What breaks candidates in a final round usually isn't any single case. It's the third one, after two hours of performing, when your structure goes loose and your PEI story comes out flat because it's the third time you've told a version of it that day. You cannot simulate that in a 45-minute practice session, and almost nobody practices it. That's the gap this closes. Why me: I was a consultant at McKinsey, interview-trained by the firm, and I led Midwest recruiting — which meant sitting in the room delivering hiring recommendations after on-campus interviews. I've run 250+ live cases since. I'm not going to tell you your structure was "good." I'll tell you where you'd have lost the vote. How it runs: • Interview 1 — one case, one PEI, roughly 60 minutes. We start cold, with no warm-up, because that's how it actually starts. • Interview 2 — a new case and a different PEI dimension, roughly 60 minutes. • Interview 3 — a new case and a different PEI dimension, roughly 60 minutes. By now you're tired. That is the entire point. • 30-minute debrief — a component-by-component scorecard across all six pieces, the specific moments that would have moved a partner's vote in either direction, and the two or three things worth fixing before the real thing. The cases are unseen and drawn from real McKinsey-style problems. The PEI questions rotate deliberately across dimensions, so you can't run the same story three times — which is the single most common way strong candidates lose a final round. Bought as separate sessions, three cases and three behavioral hours would run $2,340. This is $1,365, because the interviews are run at real length with the case and the PEI inside the same hour, exactly as McKinsey does it.
What you'll get from this package
Three back-to-back interviews at full length — one case and one PEI in each, run the way a McKinsey final round actually runs
Three unseen cases drawn from real McKinsey-style problems, with no warm-up and no repeats
Three PEI questions rotating across dimensions, so you can't lean on the same story three times
A 30-minute live debrief with a component-by-component scorecard on all six pieces
A written scorecard within 48 hours, in the format I used to deliver hiring recommendations at McKinsey
A short, specific list of what to fix before the real round — not general advice

Coaching delivered via live sessions.
Here's how I run a simulation, so there are no surprises on the day. Before: I'll ask for your resume and a short note on where you are — how many live cases you've done, whether you've got PEI stories built, and which office and round you're actually facing. That's it. I don't want your prepared answers in advance; the whole point is that I see what a partner would see. During: we run it straight through, at real length, with no coaching mid-interview. I won't rescue you from a bad structure or feed you the next step. That feels uncomfortable and it's deliberate — the version of you that shows up when nobody helps is the version McKinsey is going to meet. After: 30 minutes of feedback, and I'm direct about it. I spent time inside the firm delivering hiring recommendations after on-campus interviews, so the format I use is the one I actually used: component by component, what moved the vote, what didn't. If you'd have gotten the offer, I'll say so. If you wouldn't have, I'll tell you exactly where it came apart and what to do about it. You're not paying me to make you feel prepared — you're paying me to find out whether you are. Scheduling: this runs as one continuous block, so we'll find a window that genuinely works for both of us. Come to it the way you'd come to the real thing — rested, dressed for it, and somewhere you won't be interrupted. A note on what this isn't: this is a simulation, not a teaching package. If you're still learning to structure, or your math is shaky under pressure, book case sessions first and come back to this when you want to know whether you're ready. And it doesn't cover McKinsey Solve — that's a separate digital assessment and I don't run it. Questions before you book? Just message me.
Scheduling: this package runs as one continuous block rather than as separate sessions, so please book with enough lead time that we can find a window that works. If you need to reschedule, give me 48 hours where you can — a block this long is hard to refill on short notice. Cases are unseen by design. Please don't ask me in advance which cases I'm running or which PEI dimensions I'll probe. If you've worked with me before on case prep, I'll make sure you get material you haven't seen. What you'll need: a quiet space, a stable connection, and paper and pen. Come to it the way you'd come to the real interview — the simulation is only worth what you put into it. Turnaround on written feedback: you'll get the verbal debrief live at the end of the session, and the written scorecard within 48 hours. If a busy week or travel means I need longer, I'll tell you up front.
