I was promoted to Senior Associate and then Vice President without needing to go to business school, and was an interviewer for intern, analyst, and associate candidates. AVALT is a "consultant-friendly" PE shop, so my coaching is best directed at those targeting funds like AVALT (e.g., Golden Gate, Bain Capital, Serent, HGGC) than it is for IB-heavy shops.
