What's up, I'm John Kreider! I'm a first generation college student and former Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. I have personally done over 100 cases and given hundred more, helping dozens of students get offers at McKinsey, Bain, and BCG. With over 15 years of global management consulting experience at Strategy&, Kearney, and Deloitte, I offer a unique industry perspective. I began my career in technology consulting before pivoting to strategy consulting as a generalist after my Yale MBA, eventually specializing in healthcare as a Principal at Strategy&. In this role, I led national-level healthcare transformations and biotech strategy execution for sovereign entities, managing initiatives ranging from greenfield hospital feasibility to complex medical tourism strategies. Parallel to my client work, I have spent over a decade on the "other side" of the recruitment table, spearheading firm-wide recruiting transformations, delivering campus presentations, and interviewing a vast range of candidates from Analyst to Engagement Manager levels. I'm a former Associate Partner at McKinsey (12 years, energy & industrials), where I conducted 50+ real interviews: case and PEI, from entry-level Analysts to Engagement Managers, across both generalist and expert tracks. Per McKinsey's internal calibration reports, I scored stricter than the average interviewer, so I know exactly where the bar sits, and I won't tell you you're ready when you're not. I'm also a trained executive coach. That combination matters: most coaches can tell you what went wrong in a case. My job is to change how you perform under pressure incl. structure, math, business judgment, fit stories, and the top-down presence partners expect — so the fix sticks on interview day.
