Clear, insightful structures are the foundation of strong case performance. Many candidates start by learning standard frameworks for profitability, market entry, growth, and other common scenarios. This is a useful starting point, as it builds familiarity with common case typesr. But to stand out, you need to evolve beyond memorisation and be able to build your structure from first principles. That’s the focus of this session. You’ll learn how to: • Build Level 1 buckets by reasoning directly from the problem, not by recalling a stock template • Identify the most important Level 2 drivers in each bucket—the levers that will actually move the answer • Use Level 3 detail to demonstrate depth and direction when you speak, without overloading the listener You’ll also learn to recognise and respond to the crucial distinction between Decision cases and Action cases. Decision cases ask whether or not a client should undertake a particular business move, such as entering a market, launching a product, or acquiring a company. In contrast, Action cases assume that decision has already been made; the question is how to execute it.
