Powerful Personal Statements: Getting Started!

After your GPA and LSAT, your personal statement is the most important part of your law school application. Through your personal statement, you can share your "why" for law school, tell a piece of your story, highlight your strengths, and make connections with the admissions committee. That's a lot! And many applicants aren't sure where to start. In this session, we will: ★ walk through a plan for brainstorming essay topics, ★ explore what it means to include a "why" statement, ★ discuss the unique style of structuring a narrative tailored to law schools, ★ analyze effective essays that intrigue the reader, and ★ emphasize the need for perfect grammar and spelling.
