Law school application essays fall into three main categories: personal statements, perspective statements (sometimes called diversity statements), and optional essays. While the optional essays change from school to school and sometimes from year to year, personal and perspective statements are more general and you can get started with writing them now! Presenter Megan Needham is a published author with experience editing three legal journals and serving in the admissions office at T14 school. She has developed her expertise as a writing coach for over 20 years, working with law school and college applicants, law and undergraduate students, and doctoral candidates, helping each individual find their voice and share their message in a compelling way.
