Most applicants to Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, HEC, and Bocconi spend weeks perfecting their personal statement — and almost no time thinking about how the rest of their application actually lands. The referee who wrote three lukewarm lines. The CV that buries the most interesting thing about them. The "why this programme" answer that could apply to any school in Europe.
I got into Oxford's MSc Financial Economics with Distinction and Dean's List, and I've since coached applicants through successful admits at Oxford, HEC, and peer programmes. This 45-minute session is what I wish someone had told me before I applied.
I'll cover things like: why a "strong" profile still gets rejected, what admissions teams can tell about you from your CV in 30 seconds, how to choose referees strategically rather than politely, and how to tell whether a programme is genuinely a good fit or just a name you like.
There will be plenty of time for Q&A, but this is a presentation — not a live application review. The session will be recorded, and attendees get priority access to 1:1 coaching at a discounted rate.
Best suited for 2026–27 and 2027–28 applicants.
