About Teddy
Past clients I worked with have earned admission to T-14 schools and received substantial scholarship offers, even with nontraditional or imperfect profiles. Clients who were more focused on regional schools or specific practices achieved similar results in their domain. I help aspiring lawyers turn imperfect profiles into compelling applications and, ultimately, real careers in law. I’m a practicing attorney in Washington, D.C. with a commercial background both before and after law school, and I’ve mentored students through every stage—from deciding whether law school is the right move to landing their first legal role. My coaching is highly personalized and strategy-driven. We start by mapping your full story, depending where you are at this is anything from GPA, test scores, work experience, gaps, and more. Then we can work together to highlight your strengths, address your shortfalls, and position you as the kind of candidate schools and employers want to bet on. I combine real-world legal experience, a strong professional network, and a practical, supportive style to help you move from “I’m not sure I’m competitive” to “I know exactly how to tell my story.”
Why do I coach?
I coach because I remember how confusing and opaque this process felt. I know first hand how much of a difference the right strategic advice made. I didn’t have a “perfect” profile, and I’ve worked with many students who don’t either. With the right framing, what maybe you worry is a weakness can, and should, become part of a powerful story. Over the years, I’ve mentored applicants and law students through competitive admissions, scholarships, and early-career decisions. I’ve seen ftime and time again how much time, stress, and missed opportunity comes from trying to navigate it alone. Coaching lets me be the strategist and reality check I wish more people had. I'm someone who understands both the legal profession and the commercial world, and can help you turn goals into clear and achievable steps to get you where you want to be going.
