About Sue

I was premed in undergrad at Northwestern and thought I would just take a gap year. That gap year ended up being many years and I never looked back. I started in healthcare consulting, then moved into Watson Health, the AI and healthcare SaaS startup within IBM. I was working in AI when there were skeptics in every room and most clients didn't understand the terms "LLM" and "machine learning". I then advanced into a product marketing role on the global team, working on data and AI products. I worked with the GM of my portfolio, the sales team, product, marketing, and account management to build product positioning, conduct competitive analyses, create messaging, and launch new digital and field campaigns. I decided to apply to business school after speaking to many friends and colleagues about the value of the experience and the degree. I considered part time, full time, and even waiting a few years to do the executive program. After much research and conversations, I applied for the full time program and was admitted to HBS, Kellogg + MMM, and MIT Sloan. I chose to attend HBS and moved to Boston with my partner. During my summer internship, I worked at HubSpot as a product manager and explored entrepreneurship through HBS' Startup Bootcamp. After graduating, I worked for the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts as part of HBS' Leadership Fellows Program. After 2 years in the arts non-profit world, I decided to return to my roots in product marketing at Walmart Commerce Tech. Outside of work, I enjoy hiphop dance and baking - my two creative outlets. I have danced since I was 6 years old and competed in dance during college and post-college. I also love trying out new restaurants and traveling to interesting countries.

Why do I coach?

My MBA journey is a bit non-traditional and I did a lot of research and received lots of advice from others before making my final choice on the type of program and the school. I would love to help anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation - whether you are not sure what type of program you want, where to apply, how to apply, or how to put your best story forward. As a product marketer and storyteller, I know how important not only WHAT your story is, but also HOW you tell it. I am excited to help you tell your story in the best way possible.
