Break into Buy Side role - Coaching from a Goldman Sachs Private Credit ED
I currently work as an Executive Director in Private Credit at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, focusing on Asset Finance and Trade Receivables investments. My role is highly investment-driven: I originate, analyse, structure and execute private credit transactions across Europe, the US and Asia, working through the full investment process from due diligence and credit analysis to investment committee, term sheet negotiation, legal documentation and execution. This gives me a practical, inside view of how asset managers evaluate opportunities, assess risk, build investment cases and make decisions. As a coach, I help candidates understand what buy-side roles really require and how to position themselves effectively for asset management opportunities. I can support clients with CV and LinkedIn positioning, interview preparation, investment case discussions, career transitions from banking to the buy side, and building a clear, credible story around their experience and ambitions.
