About Simon
I’m a finance professional who built my career the hard way: not through the most obvious path, but through resilience, curiosity and a strong instinct for opportunities. I started in agricultural commodities trading, moved into structured finance and investment banking at Société Générale CIB, and now work as an Executive Director in Private Credit at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. What I enjoy most is helping ambitious people make finance feel less opaque. Whether you are trying to break into investment banking, move to the buy side, prepare for interviews or simply understand how the industry really works, I bring a practical and honest perspective from more than 10 years inside top-tier financial institutions. My coaching style is direct, supportive and focused on helping you turn your background into a clear, credible and compelling story.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know what it feels like to be the underdog in finance. I did not come from the most obvious background or the most prestigious school, and I often had to work harder to compete with candidates from more traditional paths. Through resilience, preparation and a strong sense of opportunity, I was able to build a career across top-tier institutions, from Société Générale CIB to Goldman Sachs Asset Management. What I want to share with clients is simple: you do not need a perfect path to build a great finance career. But you do need to understand how the industry works, how to position yourself, how to prepare effectively, and how to turn opportunities into real outcomes. My goal as a coach is to give ambitious candidates the practical, honest guidance I wish I had earlier in my own journey.
