About Safwat
I’m Safwat Khalil, a USC Computer Science and Business Administration student who’s turned career ambition into reality—landing highly competitive offers from Microsoft, Netflix, and Amazon before graduating. My journey hasn’t been about luck—it’s been about building a clear strategy, executing with discipline, and learning how to stand out in the most selective recruiting processes. I began my career managing research and innovation programs at USC, leading initiatives that attracted global talent and secured millions in grant funding. That foundation in product strategy and stakeholder management helped me excel as a Technical Program Manager Intern at Microsoft, where I spearheaded a global asset management system that transformed how the company manages its data center expansion strategy. Along the way, I learned the systems, mindsets, and positioning tactics that open doors at top-tier tech companies. Now, I’m passionate about sharing that knowledge—whether it’s breaking into Product Management or Technical Program Management, transferring to a dream school like USC, or navigating early career growth. My coaching combines real-world experience, proven frameworks, and insider insight to help you reach the next level faster.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know firsthand how powerful the right guidance can be. When I was navigating my own path—transferring to USC, breaking into competitive product management and technical program management roles, and eventually landing offers from Microsoft, Netflix, and Amazon—I didn’t have a roadmap handed to me. I had to figure out the strategies, networking tactics, and application positioning on my own, often through trial and error. Along the way, I realized that most people fail to reach their goals not because they lack talent, but because they lack clarity—about what to do, how to stand out, and how to present themselves in a way that resonates with decision-makers. Coaching matters to me because I can be the guide I wish I had earlier: someone who’s been through the process, understands the hidden rules, and can help you get where you want to go faster and with more confidence.
