About Rodolfo
I left my home country, Venezuela, at age 17 in pursuit of a dream: to be recruited to play Division I soccer in the United States. After getting recruited by Boston College and playing four years of D1 soccer I became intrigued with financial markets and the big role they play in economies, especially those in emerging markets. This in turn led me to pursue a career in Finance, across products like M&A and Capital Markets, covering the Latin America region. I am currently pursuing a Juris Doctor and Master in Business Administration ("JDMBA") at Northwestern University. My hobbies include playing sports like Soccer, Tennis, Padel and Golf and reading books on a variety of subjects. I speak four languages, namely English, Spanish, French and Portuguese and enjoy learning about new customs and cultures.
Why do I coach?
First, I coach because my career has been heavily benefitted by fantastic coaches / mentors and have always wanted to pay that help forward. I believe becoming a Leland coach is the next best step to do so. Second, I coach because training analysts and new associates during my time in banking—and seeing them grow and succeed—brought me immense satisfaction. I believe supporting prospective investment bankers, MBA candidates, and law school applicants will be just as rewarding.
