I scored a 178 on the LSAT, and I've spent years tutoring students of all ages across school subjects, AP exams, and now the LSAT. Over seven years of tutoring, I've embraced a method of individualized tutoring that go beyond teaching generic skills or test-taking "tricks." My goal is to help students adapt their thinking to the test, so correct answers eventually come to feel natural. To that end, I take the time to understand how my students reason through different kinds of problems. From there, I've found that I have knack for identifying exactly where someone's reasoning has gone sideways and explaining things in a way that actually lands. A lot of people who score well on a test can't articulate why an answer is right beyond "it just felt right." You need both intuition and explanatory skills to truly succeed as a tutor, and to ace the LSAT. By the end of our work together, my goal is to get you to a place where you can quickly identify the correct answer and consistently explain why it's correct. If you're stuck on a particular question type, trying to break through a score plateau, or starting from scratch, I'd love to help you figure out what's getting in the way. A little more about me: I attended Northwestern University, where I studied policy, psychology, and philosophy. I am now at Berkeley Law, where I'm pursuing a public interest career. I have been tutoring for seven years, supporting school aged kids through difficult subjects, helping high school students prep for various standardized tests, and now supporting aspiring law students as they study for the LSAT. In addition to test prep, I'm happy to chat about law school and talk through the application process. I know from experience how stressful this time can be, and it's always my goal to alleviate that as much as possible :)
