About Ming

I help product managers, analytics, and tech professionals prepare for high stakes interviews and navigate career transitions with clarity, confidence, and a clear strategy, especially those coming from or targeting Big Tech environments like Amazon. For nearly 20 years, I worked in high performance organizations including Amazon, IBM, and Ogilvy, building data driven products, leading cross functional teams, and operating in environments with a high hiring and promotion bar. I have interviewed candidates, coached peers, and understand what differentiates strong candidates from those who struggle to move forward. Today, I am a Certified Coach with International Coaching Federation and Co-active Institute (ACC, CPCC). My approach combines strategic career guidance with mindset development. I help mentees not just work through tactical decisions (interviews, roadmap storytelling, stakeholder influence), but also shift the internal beliefs that may be holding them back (imposter syndrome, perfectionism, or fear of visibility). Why do I coach?

I coach because I have seen how the right guidance at the right moment can dramatically change a career trajectory. As an immigrant who built a career in the United States without an existing network, I experienced firsthand how unclear expectations, cultural gaps, and lack of mentorship can slow progress, even for capable professionals. Through mentorship and coaching, I learned how to navigate hiring processes, communicate impact effectively, and operate with confidence in senior roles. Today, I apply these lessons to help others shorten their learning curve, avoid common pitfalls, and move forward with clarity.
