What does my coaching look like? Ultimately, no two coaching sessions look the same. I have a toolkit built over years of teaching and training. I use different tools in different ways based on you: your situation, your strengths & weaknesses, and your learning style. That said, here is an example of what our coaching might look like (emphasis on example!): I work with you to identify your key weaknesses and areas for improvement. Not only will we then create a preparation plan for you, but I will also provide you with all the materials required to resolve these issues. If you are further along in your preparation, this session might include: 1. Casing resources (incl. case layout template, “world of frameworks” visualisation, industry deep-dive template w/ answers) 2. Initial case to gauge strengths/weaknesses, alongside concrete recommendations for focus areas 3. Instructional videos primarily focused around building up your structuring and frameworking abilities 4. Crash course on frameworking/structuring If you have just started your consulting journey, this session might include: 1. Start-stop case (working through a case together so that you can get jump-started in your casing comfort level) 2. Deep-dive resume review (incl. killer template) 3. Deep-dive cover letter review (incl. example Cover Letters) 4. Networking/recruiting plan (incl. recruiting tracker) 5. Casing resources (incl. case layout template, “world of frameworks” visualization, industry deep-dive template w/ answers, case tracker/matrix) By the end, you will have the fundamentals required to ace the case. You will have gotten rid of rejection-worthy bad habits and you will have the vision and focus required to ultimately achieve interview success. As a reminder, you will receive the following proprietary content from these sessions: - Killer resume template - Example killer Cover Letters - Case layout template (how to optimally structure your paper to help you) - “World of frameworks” visualisation (single-view of the world of frameworks, showing how they are all interconnected and leverage components from each other) - Industry deep-dive template w/ answers (20 industries, broken down across the key areas you need to know) - Behavioural questions answer framework + tracker - 100+ instructional and exercise/homework videos (15+ hours of content) to build your structuring/frameworking abilities - And much much more

About Mattia
Welcome! By way of introduction, my name is Mattia and I look forward to supporting you in getting multiple offers from your target firms. I am here to help you get through it in the most efficient, effective, and elegant way possible. You will have one of the highest success rates of any candidates on the platform I have successfully coached candidates across the entire spectrum of roles - from Manager to Intern, from Generalists to Specialists. I will tell you whether your performance is a pass or fail, why, and what you need to do to close the gap. Storytelling is what I care most about and I’ll help yours shine for the interview. Feel free to reach out for a free introductory call if you want to get to know each other or if you have additional questions. +++ What I can offer +++ I will fully personalize sessions to your needs, however, I have previously run sessions centered on: 1. Intro to investment banking/private equity/consulting - What it's like to work in the industry -- I can promise a no holdback/sugarcoated Q&A. 2. Baselining - A mock interview to identify where you are at (in terms of fit and case/technical), main strengths and weaknesses, and discuss the next steps in order to nail the interview 3. Mock interviews - A more extensive case/technical interview with data, graphs, quantitative analysis, and creative brainstorming. This interview can be tailored to a specific industry/function/type of case or round. 4. Drill down - If there is a specific area of the case you struggle with or would like more help (e.g., frameworks, maths, conclusions) we can run multiple simulations of that area and I can provide tips and tools in order to help 5. Fit / Personal experience masterclass - I have heard MDs/Partners say this is often more important than the technical/case portion of the interview and can often be the thing that tips tiebreaks. At the same time, candidates under-indexed on this to their detriment. We can craft ‘power stories’ that can serve you across interviews and firms, workshopping them so they really stand out from the crowd. 6. Resume / Cover letter review - We will go line by line and make sure every word is tailored to draw out your experience and help you land that interview.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I believe in the power of paying it forward. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to receive guidance and support from a number of coaches and mentors who have shaped me into the person I am today. Now, I want to use my skills and experiences to give back and help others achieve their goals and reach their full potential. One of the main reasons I coach is because of the impact it can have on the lives of others. As a coach, I have the opportunity to work with individuals who are looking to improve their skills and work toward their ambitions. Whether it is helping an athlete improve their performance on the field or assisting a student in achieving academic success, I find great fulfillment in being able to make a positive difference in the lives of my clients. In addition to the personal satisfaction that coaching brings, I also believe that it is important to give back to others. Throughout my life, I have received guidance and support that helped me succeed in my career. Now, I want to help others do the same. Through coaching, I can pass on the knowledge that I received to others and help them achieve their own dreams. One of the most rewarding experiences I have had as a coach was working with a young athlete who was struggling with self-doubt. Through consistent coaching and support, I was able to help her improve her skills and build her confidence. It was truly gratifying to see the transformation that took place as she gained confidence in her abilities and achieved her goals. This experience, and others like it, have solidified my belief in the importance of paying it forward. In conclusion, the purpose of education is not just to produce a student with abilities, but to produce fully-developed people. We should judge a student’s education, Montaigne says, “not by the testimony of their memory, but by that of their life.” Personal attention helps students perform better at school, but it also helps them develop into mature, effective, capable people. And that, surely, is what you want from an education. School can provide a great education. But tutoring provides a personal one.
