Education
Colorado State University
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Colorado State University
Master of Public Health, Epidemiology
2023 - 2025
I earned my Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Epidemiology from the Colorado School of Public Health at Colorado State University. My Capstone project focused on evaluating lifetime exposure to PM2.5 air pollution from wildfire smoke, using participants in the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study as sentinels for human exposure. During my practicum, I worked with the Colorado Food Safety Center of Excellence and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. There, I conducted surveillance on the transmission of Carbapenem-resistant bacteria between humans and their pets.
Tufts University
Master of Science, Conservation Medicine
2019 - 2020
I earned my MSc degree from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, where my program focused on the One Health approach to tackle critical global issues. This comprehensive training addressed emerging and resurging diseases, habitat use conflicts, environmental contamination, climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem function degradation. My research concentrated on the impact of climate change on zoonotic disease spillover events, with a particular focus on the risks posed by thawing permafrost in the Russian Arctic, which can trigger anthrax outbreaks. Additionally, I completed an externship at the Smithsonian National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, where I assisted with Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpes Virus surveillance.
Franklin and Marshall College
Bachelor of Arts, Biology
2015 - 2019
During my undergraduate studies, I pursued a Pre-veterinary track while majoring in Biology. I served as a biology tutor and later as the head tutor, where I was responsible for training and managing other tutors. I was a grant-funded summer scholar, conducting research with the biology department, and I completed an independent study focusing on immune system abnormalities in a mouse model for Down syndrome. In addition to my academic pursuits, I was actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including Greek life, multiple clubs, and numerous volunteer opportunities. I also held leadership roles as a resident advisor and a laboratory teaching assistant, where I gained valuable experience in student support and instruction.
