About Kionia

My journey to coaching has been an evolution of sorts. My career started with other leaders identifying me as a strong worker because of my dedication to being a responsible contributing team member, and they quickly labeled me as someone who could not step into leadership. I saw this assessment as a personal challenge. I found that my work and focus needed to be on myself. How much could I learn, how could I be better at leading others. I drowned myself in feedback and really thought about the value in each persons experience of me. I took every class I could that would support growing in areas that the feedback identified I needed to grow in. Crucial Conversations, Change Management, How to give and receive feedback, Five Levels of Leadership, 7 habits of highly effective people, and on and on. I became a supervisor, then a manager and now I have been a Director of HR for over 10 years. I have performed leadership roles, I have coached direct reports, I have supported the growth and development of other leaders and I am excited to meet, learn about and coach you to your definition of best!
