About Kim

I've spent over a decade at the intersection of finance, startups, and company-building — and most of that time, I was figuring it out without a roadmap. My background spans investment banking and startup banking at J.P. Morgan, corporate strategy at VICE and Yahoo, co-founding and scaling a company from pre-seed through Series A, and several years in venture capital. I completed my MBA at Harvard Business School and have served on nonprofit boards and as an advisor to early-stage founders across the Midwest. I work with three kinds of people: Career changers breaking into finance — especially those coming from non-traditional backgrounds who need to translate their experience into the language of banking, VC, or startups. I've made that translation myself, and I know how to help you make it credibly. Non-traditional MBA applicants — people who don't fit the "standard" profile but have a compelling story they haven't learned to tell yet. I went to HBS from a non-traditional path, and I can help you build an application that actually represents who you are.
