About Kasturi
Hi! I’m Kasturi — an MBA and MS Design Innovation alum (Class of 2025!) at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and McCormick School of Engineering, where I served as Co-President of the MMM program. Through that role, I worked closely with Kellogg and McCormick’s admissions teams: joining countless prospective student calls, sharing candid advice, and helping applicants refine their stories to stand out in a competitive pool. After months of toying with the decision of whether business school was right for me, I was fortunate to be admitted to several M7 MBA programs, and I know how powerful having the right mentors was for me in my journey. At Kellogg, I continued to mentor MBA candidates, offering application feedback, helping applicants navigate decisions, and supporting students pursuing consulting and product management careers. Mentorship and coaching has always been core to how I operate: at Deloitte, I served as the Mentorship & Networking Lead for the Women’s Inclusion Network, organizing monthly mentorship events for 1,000+ employees. I also led StartUp Deloitte, an innovation hackathon where I coached teams of entrepreneurs and helped to redesign and expand the program. Professionally, I bring a cross-disciplinary background at the intersection of strategy, healthcare, and innovation. At Deloitte Consulting, I led patient experience redesigns, launched health tech products, and helped shape the future of virtual care. I’ve since worked across venture capital (Cleveland Avenue), AI product management (Capital One), and health tech startups (Vale Health), giving me a broad view of post-MBA pathways. If you’re looking for a coach who understands both the heart and rigor of the MBA journey — from navigating your “why now” to cracking product and consulting interviews — I’m here to help.
Why do I coach?
As the daughter of two Indian immigrants, education and continuous self-improvement have been values that were always instilled in me from a young age. Applying to business school was one of the most transformative and vulnerable experiences of my life. In the process, I leaned heavily on mentors and peers who helped me shape my story, navigate self-doubt, and believe that I belonged in rooms I once thought were out of reach. Now, I coach because I want to pay that forward and support candidates the same way that others supported me.
Work Experience

MBA Venture Capital Intern
Cleveland Avenue
March 2025 - June 2025
Cleveland Avenue is a Chicago-based venture capital firm investing in emerging food, beverage, and consumer technology companies across stages. As an MBA Associate on the investment team, I developed a thesis on digital health platform consolidation in response to rising healthcare costs and market fragmentation, drawing insights from expert interviews and Pitchbook analysis. I presented my findings to the Investment Committee and produced strategic reports on six portfolio companies, distilling key financial metrics, performance indicators, and runway insights to guide fund leadership.

Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning Product Manager Intern
Capital One
June 2024 - August 2024
Capital One; Fortune 100 financial institution As a Product Management Intern on the Enterprise Feature Platform (EFP) team, I improved customer data accuracy by 27% by standardizing inputs and building a dashboard that enabled product teams to segment and prioritize 500+ enterprise customers. I also delivered recommendations on predictive AI and clustering models to help teams anticipate customer behaviors and deliver more personalized, proactive product support.

MBA Product Intern
Vale Health
March 2024 - June 2024
Vale Health is a health tech startup building a curated marketplace for aging-in-place products and services. As a Product Management Intern, I led user research in the aging services space, identifying five distinct customer segments and translating behavioral insights into UX recommendations to improve the senior shopper experience. I built a product taxonomy spanning nine categories and 50+ SKUs, and collaborated with the COO and CPO to design ten new solution features tailored to the needs of older adults and their caregivers.

Venture Studio Intern
Boundless Venture Studio
January 2024 - April 2024
Boundless Venture Co. is a venture studio that builds software startups for overlooked industries, partnering with experienced operators to bring tech-enabled solutions to market. As a Product Marketing Intern, I worked on Truckbase, a TMS platform for freight brokers and carriers. I partnered with the CMO to design a targeted marketing drip campaign, supported podcast sponsorship outreach, and contributed to product marketing strategy for the website, helping refine messaging and improve conversion. This experience deepened my understanding of go-to-market strategy in early-stage B2B SaaS and the importance of user-centered storytelling in industrial tech.

Strategy Consultant
Deloitte
September 2019 - June 2023
As a Consultant in Deloitte's Customer Strategy and Design practice, I led cross-functional teams to modernize virtual care and adherence solutions. I conducted patient interviews and competitive research to redesign a hospital system’s virtual visit platform, increasing e-visits by 36% in under a year. I defined product strategy for a robotic medication adherence solution, built a development playbook that accelerated launch timelines by 4 weeks, and created pricing models that helped reduce projected costs by 30%. I also developed 11 service blueprints to diagnose gaps in pharma-physician engagement and routed 70+ product features across 13 engineering teams. Beyond healthcare, I advised C-suite clients on long-term strategies around circular economy and next-gen tech (AI, ML, quantum), resulting in multi-year implementation roadmaps. Earlier, as a Business Technology Analyst, I supported a $100M transformation of a national insurer’s claims platform, managing workstreams, process improvements, and communications across a 150+ person program. I built automation tools using UiPath to streamline insurance claims testing, cutting manual work by 20%, and developed a financial model that enabled the CIO to assess the $3B breaking point of their existing infrastructure. I also conducted primary research and authored insights on global health trends for a World Economic Forum white paper on the future of precision medicine and universal coverage.
