About Justin
As someone who's been fortunate enough to experience a variety of cultures and settings—from Hong Kong to Kingston to Rhode Island—I am driven by a deep commitment to building community and supporting those who come after me. My journey has taught me that navigating the college admissions process—especially as an international student—can be overwhelming, isolating, and at times, discouraging. That’s why I’m passionate about using my own experiences to pay it forward. Having worked as a teaching assistant for multiple semesters and mentored students from a range of academic and cultural backgrounds, I’ve developed a teaching style that’s empathetic, accessible, and results-driven. I don’t just edit essays—I coach students to discover the strongest version of their story and express it in a way that feels both honest and strategic. I believe every applicant has a powerful narrative, and I love helping students find the clarity and confidence to tell theirs. Whether you're applying from outside the U.S. or simply looking for guidance from someone who’s been through the process, I bring both personal insight and professional experience to the table.
Why do I coach?
Coaching isn’t just a service for me—it’s a way to give back to the communities that helped me get where I am, and to help open doors for others the way they were opened for me.
