About Jen
My work is focused on supporting midlife awakening, life transitions, and burnout recovery. My style is compassionate and non-judgemental and while I take my work seriously, I also bring levity to supporting my fellow humans through all of life’s ups and downs. I have worked in the learning technology industry for decades and started my career in Learning & Development. I have served in customer success roles as an individual contributor, enablement consultant, and in leadership. My career journey has included time at General Reinsurance Corporation, Lynda.com, LinkedIn, and Oji Life Lab. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Management at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and hold a master’s degree in Adult & Organizational Learning from Suffolk University. I received certification in Mindfulness Studies from Lesley University, was part of the inaugural cohort of the Inner MBA from New York University, and am certified as a professional, life, and transitions coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPec). When not at work, I enjoy good food, off-the-beaten path coffee shops, and adventures in my campervan with my husband and incredibly spoiled chocolate lab.

Principal Customer Success Manager
May 2015 - January 2022
What I love about working at LinkedIn is that no two days are the same; there is always something exciting happening. LinkedIn's mission is to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. LinkedIn Learning makes it possible for people to learn business, creative, and technology skills on their own time and at their own pace. My day-to-day varies greatly; one day I might be meeting with a group of key stakeholders to ensure the success of their implementation. The next day I could be presenting to learners at a university, company, or government agency so that they understand our offering and are inspired to learn. Last but not least, what makes my role really special is the opportunities that I have to collaborate with an amazing group of colleagues - from planning events to bring clients together to mentoring colleagues as our team continues to grow.

iPEC
Certified Professional Coach
2022 - 2023
Coaching is a passion and has been something that has come naturally to me throughout my life. I'm excited to be formalizing my knowledge through the official certification which focuses on core energy and helping people solve more than surface level problems by addressing the root source of their blockers and guiding them to unleash their full potential. I'm particularly interested in working with individuals who are facing career or life transitions or who feel stuck by the traditional paths that society expects.

New York University
Certificate, Inner MBA
2020 - 2021
I'm thrilled to be part of the Inner MBA which is a nine-month immersion program to train leaders, entrepreneurs, managers, and employees on how to powerfully grow themselves and their companies. This journey begins with the opportunity to focus on self-awareness, self-management, and emotional intelligence. We then dive in to how to skillfully navigate difficult conversations, increase collaboration, and celebrate differences by honoring others’ uniqueness. Finally, we learn strategies to build an organization that promotes positive change, both within community and globally. This is a first of its kind program that focuses on the inner work that is needed to create positive change in the world. It is a partnership between Sounds True, Wisdom 2.0, LinkedIn, and Mindful NYU.

Lesley University
Certificate, Mindfulness Studies
2015 - 2018
This program provided me with a strong understanding of the history, theory, and practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness goes way beyond meditation; in my view it is integral to being truly present in all facets of life. I believe in the strong connection between mindfulness and learning and know that there is so much more to discover in this area. This program allowed me to work with other students and faculty from a variety of disciplines and opened my mind to new ideas and new ways of thinking. During this year and a half of study, I researched how mindfulness has been incorporated into adult learning programs, the power of mindful dialogue in organizational decision making, and what the future of adult learning programs could look like as skills rapidly become outdated. I completed a 7-day silent meditation retreat which I know will not be my last.

Suffolk University
Master of Science - MS, Adult and Organizational Learning
2003 - 2007
I'd mark my time at Suffolk University as some of the most challenging, yet most rewarding years of my life. I enrolled in this program with the goal of breaking into the learning and development field. I looked to gain knowledge and credibility and to learn as much as I could not only from the faculty, but from fellow students. This program allowed me to explore core principles including facilitation, instructional design, systems thinking, performance management, and marketing. Rather than a traditional thesis, the capstone was a semester-long action research study which almost broke me, but proved to be extremely rewarding.

University of Massachusetts Boston
Bachelor of Science , Management
1997 - 2000
My undergraduate career began in 1995 at Central Connecticut State University. My majors included music education and social work, before I finally landed at UMass Boston with a major business management and a minor in sociology. During these years, I participated in the Walt Disney World College Program and spent a summer bartending in Dublin, Ireland. I completed an internship with AE Schwartz and Associates where I contributed to the design of a laser tag corporate retreat program. This varied and diverse experience took me 5+ years, but I am grateful to have done it 'my way.'
