About Jason

As a first-generation Taiwanese-American, I was never taught how to navigate the corporate ladder, know the best ways to "recruit", or what type of experiences to gain. I was always taught that hard work and a good attitude will get you far, but the world is much more nuanced nowadays. As someone that didn't come from the ideal background, I only had the chance to go to a state school and learn it by myself. Even though I was able to come from a non-traditional background, I was able to pivot into strategy consulting (into a pipeline that was only meant for campus recruiting), strategy consulting to tech, and now I have a strategy & operations role in big tech where I am at the same level as post-grad MBAs, which I don't have. I've had experience: - making a pivot from a completely unrelated field to another - transferring internally to a different, more competitive function where they didn't typically take people "from my practice area" - going from consulting to big tech - navigating a layoff 10 months into a role and bouncing back by controlling the narrative I shared externally If you're struggling at any part of your career or are struggling to get to the next step, I'm 99% sure that I can help you and guide you in the right direction.
