HR Operations Manager
Universal Engineering Sciences
June 2024 - November 2024
In this role, I led, mentored, and coached a team managing talent acquisition, onboarding, and training for ~650 people. I also executed HR strategy in alignment with organizational goals and targets by conducting in-depth research to drive initiatives and compile complex reports and scorecards. I spent my downtime Identifying and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness and trying to convince an archaic,, micro-managing leadership team to embrace change and employee empowerment. Sadly, that last part failed, but in my short time, I: ✓ Reduced errors in recruitment, pre-boarding, onboarding, referral bonuses, and offboarding processes. ✓ Implemented new controls in the staffing requisition, sourcing (partnership), and application processes. ✓ Rolled out military recruiting and DoD SkillBridge participation. ✓ Rectified branch-level reporting errors, streamlined job descriptions, and assisted an HRIS and ATS transition. ✓ Orchestrated onboarding and exit surveys to address voluntary turnover. ✓ Streamlined region-wide pre-screening, orientation, and training. ✓ Kicked off a manager onboarding program, supported survey development, and collaborated on career mapping.

HR Consultant & Executive Resume Writer
J. Pavlunenko Consulting
June 2012 - Present
I leverage my extensive experience in Human Resources to help companies do better. This may include building employee-centric human capital strategies or maybe providing leadership coaching and guidance to help businesses show their appreciation for their most valuable asset. I spend a lot of time supporting one-time projects. I can also be contracted as a fractional (or temporary) HR Leader to build your HR program from scratch or for ongoing support as an outsourced HR Generalist or "Corporate HR" contact. As a resume writer, my primary goal is helping individuals sell themselves on paper, and I receive excellent reviews on LinkedIn, Upwork, privately, and through other agencies that I work with. I work with executives, professionals, and students in almost every industry. Additionally, I am passionate about helping our Military Veterans. Some of my typical Consulting projects include: ★ Handbook or Policy Development ★ Compliance Audits & Investigations ★ Executive Communications ★ Talent Acquisition (processes or actual recruiting) ★ Performance Evaluation & Compensation Analysis ★ Coaching & Training

Human Resources Manager, North America
WABCO
August 2006 - June 2012
WABCO (NYSE: WBC) is a leading supplier of safety and control systems for commercial vehicles. In 2007, WABCO spun off from American Standard to become an independent, publicly traded, global company. As the only WABCO HR representative in the USA (at that time), my role in the transfer of employment processes and data project was critical and the project was completed successfully. In 2010, I began work on a new start-up production facility in Michigan, driving the HR function. I participated on a global project team to ensure the smooth opening of this plant. In my day to day endeavors, I managed a dispersed team of 4 and led the entire Human Resources function and strategic initiatives for sites across North America, driving consistency in the administration of policies and procedures. This included recruitment, payroll, and benefits administration along with regular day to day employee relations supporting +300 employees and expatriates. I developed and managed $MM budgets, negotiated contracts, and ensured my department reached or exceeded its goals at every opportunity.
