About Harini
Hi, I’m Harini, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m currently pursuing an MSc in Comparative Social Policy at Oxford University, where my passion for understanding how governance shapes social outcomes has found its home. But my journey here wasn’t always straightforward—like many of us, I’ve had to overcome my own set of challenges along the way. Growing up as the child of Indian immigrant parents in Singapore, I was exposed to two very different worlds: the efficient governance of Singapore and the contrasting challenges I witnessed in India. That stark contrast ignited a curiosity in me about how systems of governance can shape a society’s future—especially for its most vulnerable members. It’s a curiosity that turned into a passion, leading me to pursue a career in policy. I know how it feels to search for answers to big questions and face moments of doubt. Early on, I wasn’t entirely sure what path to take, but as I grew, I realized that my life experiences—the drive to give back, the passion for fairness, and the determination to make a difference—were the building blocks of my purpose. And that’s what I bring to everything I do now, whether it's academic research or working on policies that can reduce inequality. I believe in the power of one-on-one conversations to unlock potential. In the past, I’ve had mentors who believed in me even when I wasn’t sure I could believe in myself. Their support and guidance were transformative, and it’s that same personal touch that I strive to offer to others. I’m not just here to share what I know—I’m here to listen to your story, understand your goals, and help you navigate the unique challenges you’re facing. What makes me different as a coach is that I’ve walked the walk. From growing up in a multicultural environment to studying the complexities of governance systems, I’ve learned how to adapt, overcome, and ultimately thrive. I approach coaching with empathy and a deep understanding of the pressures of balancing ambition, personal growth, and societal expectations. If you’re looking for someone who can help you work through your doubts, find your direction, and break down the complexities of life, I’d love to connect. Let’s start this journey together.
Why do I coach?
Coaching matters to me because I truly believe in the power of support and guidance when it comes to achieving personal and professional growth. I've been fortunate to have had people throughout my own journey who helped me see my potential when I couldn’t see it myself. They provided the encouragement, the accountability, and the wisdom that pushed me to achieve things I thought were impossible. I know there are people out there who might have not previously went to a target school but want to make that dream come true. Believe me, I know how to leverage that to get there. So, I hope you can place your trust in me.
