About Ellie
Incoming McKinsey consultant and senior at UC Berkeley Haas. I’ll give you honest and encouraging feedback — because getting a consulting offer isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being prepared. I began recruiting for consulting as a freshman, so I understand how timelines and expectations evolve at every stage — from figuring it out early to closing offers. Most importantly, as someone who has just gone through the most recent recruiting cycle, I can offer up-to-date, practical advice in an environment that is increasingly shifting back to in-person recruiting. I’ve interned at a New York-based boutique consulting firm, working on strategy-focused projects, and have spent the past few years refining resumes, casing, and networking strategies that actually convert. I’ve also competed in and placed in 6 case competitions — including placing 2nd internationally in Australia representing Haas — where I built structured problem-solving and client-ready communication skills that directly mirror real consulting work. I’ve also taught an undergraduate course on breaking into case competitions. I’m especially passionate about helping students break into consulting early, build a compelling narrative, and navigate recruiting with clarity and confidence.
Why do I coach?
Coaching and mentoring have always been genuinely fun for me. I love blending learning with energy and encouragement, while helping others build confidence in themselves throughout the process. As someone who did not come from a traditional business background and did not even know what consulting was before college, I truly credit mentorship for helping me get to where I am today. That is why I firmly believe that with hard work, the right guidance, and someone in their corner, anyone can put themselves in a position to earn their dream offer.
