Puzzled by ambiguous reading questions even after looking up the solutions? Running out of time on the reading section even with a timer? Should I use a semi-colon or em-dash in this writing question, aren't they the same?!... I get you. I've been there. But with a persistent study model, I achieved a top 1% score on the SAT and got into my dream school, Stanford, on a full-ride–despite English not being my mother tongue. How? It took more than cramming books. I tracked my strengths and weaknesses on a spreadsheet to see what I had to improve, built well-rounded reading habits (ranging from US founding documents to latest tech/science news), found smarter ways to time myself than anxiously checking my wrist watch every minute during the exams. Want to hear more and give it a try? Let's hop on a call :)

About Efe
My approach to admissions coaching is analytical. I treat applications as constrained optimization problems: identifying signal, removing noise, and aligning a student’s story with how selective admissions committees actually evaluate candidates. I place particular emphasis on: • Translating technical, research, or entrepreneurial work into clear admissions value • Avoiding common essay failure modes (generic motivation, résumé rehashing, vague impact) • Building a consistent profile across essays, activities, and recommendations I work especially well with high-achieving, technically inclined students and founders who want honest feedback, rigorous thinking, and no sugar-coating. My goal is not to “game” admissions, but to help students present their strongest true version.
Why do I coach?
Admissions always involve an element of luck, but luck is not uncontrollable. As an international, first-gen applicant to Stanford, I had to systematically optimize every variable within my control. Doing that required a precise understanding of how admissions officers evaluate candidates and what actually differentiates successful applications from superficially strong ones. That process resulted in a full-ride acceptance to Stanford. Rather than letting that accumulated insight expire, I chose to apply it to helping other students navigate the same constraints more effectively. My role is to compress experience, reduce avoidable mistakes, and help students present the strongest truthful version of themselves under competitive conditions.
