About Doug
Hi, I’m Doug, and I’m on a mission to Connect and Discover. For the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching professionals across diverse sectors—Entertainment, Education, Government, and Corporate Leadership. But my coaching philosophy isn’t just rooted in experience; it’s deeply personal. My own journey of Connection and Discovery began when, as a teen, I realized I was battling deep Generalized Anxiety—something my confident, athletic, and high-achieving self had skillfully hidden. Growing up with divorced parents and moving often, I became used to constant change, adapting as I went. This resilience shaped me into someone self-sufficient but also cautious and always second-guessing myself. At some point, I decided the only way forward was through—into the discomfort, into the anxiety, and into Connection. Rather than retreating, I leaned in. I joined teams, a choir, student government, and became a peer mentor for others struggling with anxiety and depression. These experiences taught me something profound: Connection is a conduit to Discovery. Discovery is fundamental to being human. It’s the questions we ask every day: - How do I lead with authenticity and inspire my team? - What skills do I need to develop to take my career to the next level? - How do I communicate my vision in a way that motivates others? - What legacy will I leave behind? - What does success look like for me—and am I on the right path to achieve it? - What energizes me? - What is my purpose? - How do I create a meaningful life? - How can I overcome the fears and doubts holding me back? - What steps can I take to achieve the balance I crave in life? - What’s keeping me from reaching my full potential? - How do I create a plan to turn my dreams into reality? - How do I navigate change and uncertainty with confidence? - How do I break through the patterns that are holding me back? These questions are at the heart of the coaching journey, sparking the kind of Discovery that transforms lives. We all seek answers, often without realizing the power we hold to find them. What I’ve learned, and now share with my clients, is that when we harness Connection with others, we unlock the potential for Discovery within ourselves. This understanding shapes everything I do as a coach. My role is to create a safe, authentic space and frameworks for exploration, helping people and teams uncover their deepest truths, align with their values, and achieve their most authentic potential. From CEOs, tech founders, and entrepreneurs to entertainment, sales, and retail executives to non-profit leaders, I’ve helped clients achieve real, measurable results. With me as their coach, senior leaders have advanced their businesses, landed new job opportunities, won promotions, earned pay increases, developed high-performing teams, and—most importantly—discovered their own worth, inspiring others to follow their lead.
