Description

Learn how to use AI as a serious research partner rather than just a faster search engine. In this live, hands-on session, we'll take a topic you actually want to understand and research it together. I'll show you how I approach complex research questions, structure investigations, find credible sources, challenge initial conclusions, compare competing viewpoints, and turn large amounts of information into something useful. Your topic can be almost anything: a company, market, technology, investment thesis, career decision, scientific question, product category, business idea, or another subject you want to understand deeply. We'll cover techniques such as: 1. Turning a broad question into a strong research plan 2. Using AI-powered web and deep research effectively 3. Finding primary sources instead of relying on summaries and blogs 4. Separating strong evidence from weak evidence 5. Asking AI to challenge its own conclusions 6. Researching the same question from multiple angles 7. Synthesizing dozens of sources into clear insights 8. Comparing companies, products, strategies, or competing claims 9. Identifying unanswered questions and gaps in the evidence 10. Turning research into an actionable recommendation This isn't about learning a list of "magic prompts." It's about learning a research process you can reuse.

What you'll get from this package

A substantially deeper understanding of the topic you brought to the session

A repeatable framework for conducting AI-assisted research

A better ability to distinguish credible evidence from low-quality information

Techniques for reducing hallucinations, bias, and overly confident AI answers

A process for validating important claims against primary sources

Better methods for comparing competing explanations and viewpoints

A reusable approach for turning research into decisions

Product Lead at Poolside | AI Strategy & Product Development

I've spent the last several years working hands-on with AI at AWS and Poolside, where I helped enterprises take foundation models from experimentation into production. At Poolside, I identified the opportunity for sovereign AI in early 2025, built the first on-prem prototype myself, and went on to lead the resulting product line across product strategy, engineering, deployment, and customer delivery. We grew it to ~$3M ARR and 40+ deployments, including highly secure government environments. I also build with AI extensively outside of work. I built Pinpoint Alpha, an AI-powered market analytics SaaS with 12 production Python pipelines, and Keel, an open-source agent harness focused on secure and governed agent execution. I can help with everything from figuring out where AI actually adds value to LLM APIs, agents, RAG, evals, prompting, cloud architecture, AI-assisted coding, and getting an idea from a blank page to a working product.
